Solvo will participate in Intermodal Africa 2026, the international ports, shipping and logistics exhibition and conference taking place from 17 to 19 November 2026 at the EPIC SANA Luanda Hotel in Luanda, Angola.

The 36th edition of Intermodal Africa will bring together port authorities, terminal operators, shipping lines, cargo owners, railway and road transport companies, freight forwarders, logistics providers, equipment suppliers, technology companies and other professionals from across the international transport and logistics industry.

For Solvo, the event is an opportunity to return to a market where port modernization, multimodal connectivity and terminal digitalization are closely connected — and to continue conversations with logistics professionals from Angola, West Africa and other African markets.

Event Details

Intermodal Africa 2026 is co-hosted by the Port of Luanda and Sogester and officially supported by the Government of Angola and the Ministry of Transport. The event combines a port technical site visit, a two-day international conference and an exhibition focused on port, transport and logistics technologies.

The conference program reflects several of the major issues currently shaping African port and logistics development.

Topics include:

  • the role of ports in supporting the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA);
  • new trade routes and maritime services connecting West African ports;
  • development of Angola’s shipping and logistics corridors;
  • sustainable and green port transformation;
  • integration of technology, automation and AI into modern port operations;
  • port investment and infrastructure expansion;
  • terminal efficiency, productivity and supply chain resilience;
  • road, rail and multimodal connections between ports, landlocked countries, dry ports and inland container depots.

The program therefore goes beyond maritime infrastructure alone. It looks at how ports connect with inland transport, logistics hubs, regional trade corridors and increasingly digital supply chains.

Solvo and Port Digitalization in Angola

Angola is already an important part of Solvo’s international project experience.

Sogester, one of the co-hosts of Intermodal Africa 2026, has worked with Solvo on the automation of its terminal network in Angola. Solvo.TOS has been deployed for terminal operations in the country, including projects covering marine and inland facilities and different cargo-handling processes.

Returning to Luanda therefore gives the Solvo team an opportunity not only to discuss global port technology trends, but also to exchange experience in a market where we have already worked with real terminal operations.

At Intermodal Africa 2026, we will be glad to discuss how digital technologies can help ports and terminals:

  • coordinate vessel, yard, gate, rail and truck operations;
  • manage container and multi-cargo workflows;
  • connect marine terminals with inland and dry-port operations;
  • improve operational visibility and resource planning;
  • integrate terminal systems with equipment and external platforms;
  • reduce manual coordination between operational teams;
  • create a digital foundation for further automation.

Solvo.TOS is designed to connect cargo, transport, equipment, documentation and operational workflows within a unified terminal environment while supporting different terminal types and cargo-handling models.

Meet the Solvo Team in Luanda

Intermodal Africa will also provide an opportunity to meet port and logistics professionals working across very different operating environments — from marine container terminals to multimodal corridors, dry ports and inland logistics facilities.

For Solvo, these conversations are particularly valuable because digitalization requirements depend heavily on the terminal itself: its cargo mix, transport connections, infrastructure, equipment and role within the wider supply chain.

If you are attending Intermodal Africa 2026, come and meet the Solvo team to discuss your current terminal operations, automation plans and future development projects.
