Solvo partners with Sogester to upgrade four terminals across the country!
As part of Angola’s strategic economic development initiative, Sogester S.A. — a joint venture between APM Terminals and GF Sociedade Gestore de Terminais — has chosen Solvo.TOS to modernize four of the country’s container and general cargo terminals.
A Growing Economy with Ambitious Goals
Angola is rapidly expanding its infrastructure to reduce oil dependency, improve logistics, and enhance regional connectivity. With favorable visa policies and growing foreign investment, logistics modernization is seen as a critical step toward sustainable growth.
Solvo.TOS: One System, Four Terminals
Under an agreement signed in early 2019 with Solvo Europe B.V., Solvo.TOS will be implemented at Luanda, Namibe, Panguila, and Viana terminals. The rollout includes modules for vessel and yard management, gate control, rail operations, EDI, KPIs, billing, and equipment control — all integrated within a centralized system.
A Leap Forward in Terminal Efficiency
Frans Jol, Managing Director of Sogester, commented:
“The system will allow us to manage vessels, yards, and communications with clients and shipping lines more effectively. We will have access to much better operational data — helping us significantly raise productivity.”
