Connecting Ports and Ideas: Solvo at Mediterranean Ports and Logistics 2025

Solvo at Mediterranean Ports and Logistics 2025

Barcelona, Spain – May 20-22, 2025!

Solvo took part in the 12th Mediterranean Ports and Logistics exhibition and conference, held on May 20–22 in Barcelona, Spain.

Bringing Together the Mediterranean Maritime Community

Hosted at the Catalonia Barcelona Plaza hotel and organized in partnership with the Port of Barcelona, ICHCA and TIC 4.0, the event welcomed over 400 delegates representing port authorities, shipping lines, terminal operators, government agencies, and logistics service providers from across the region.

The opening ceremony featured remarks from Dr. Rory James Doyle, Managing Director of Transport Events, followed by welcome addresses from José Alberto Carbonell, President of the Port of Barcelona, and Josep Vicent Boira, Commissioner for the development of the TEN-T Mediterranean Corridor. After the keynote speeches, the VIP group officially opened the exhibition, joined by delegates for a guided tour and networking.

A Strategic Presence in the Mediterranean Region

The Solvo team is proud to contribute to the global discussion around port digitalization, intermodal connectivity, and the future of AI-driven logistics. The Mediterranean region represents a key area for digital transformation — especially in port operations.

Among the many key themes discussed during the event were:

  • Intermodality and the strategic shift from road to rail, with benefits not only in operational efficiency, but also in decarbonization and environmental impact;
  • Supply chain resilience and regional development amid global disruptions;
  • The rise of AI-powered digital platforms, helping ports become more agile, transparent, and attractive to new business;
  • The vision of a unified Mediterranean logistics corridor, enhancing trade flows and reinforcing collaboration between ports, intermodal terminals, and inland networks.
