SOLVO and HHLA Join Forces Again: Solvo.TOS Deployed in Tallinn

A long-term partnership leads to modernization at the Muuga terminal!

Solvo continues its strategic collaboration with HHLA (Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG) by implementing Solvo.TOS at the Muuga container terminal, operated by HHLA Estonia AS in the port of Tallinn.

A Partnership with a Proven Track Record

The relationship between SOLVO and HHLA began in 2016 during the implementation of Solvo.TOS in Qatar. In 2018, HHLA took full control of Transiidikeskuse AS and launched a new project to upgrade the IT system at Muuga — replacing the older Solvo.CTMS with the advanced Solvo.TOS 6.x.

Key Features of the New System

The upgraded solution supports automated planning across all work fronts: sea, rail, road, and inland. Features include:

  • A powerful rail planning module with real-time train layout visualization;
  • Advanced vessel stowage planning with genetic algorithms for crane sequencing;
  • Interactive terminal topology and automated routing for CHE;
  • Solvo.KPI module for dynamic performance tracking.

The implementation brings enhanced operational transparency, fewer errors, and smarter resource utilization.
