Digital Port Solutions in Focus: Solvo at ASEAN Ports & Logistics 2025

Solvo at ASEAN Port and Logistics 2025

From docks to data and beyond!

From 1 to 3 July 2025 the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta became the regional hub for port and maritime innovators as ASEAN Ports & Logistics 2025 welcomed more than 300 delegates for three days of exhibition, debate and networking.

Our team was delighted to greet visitors at booth 5 in the exhibition hall, where we demonstrated the latest releases of Solvo.TOS and Solvo.WMS and discussed real-world automation projects with current customers and prospective partners.

Thought leadership on stage

On July 3, Giovanni Migliaccio, Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at SOLVO, took the stage with a keynote titled “From Docks to Data: Driving Terminal Efficiency Through IT Innovation.”

In his talk, Giovanni outlined how modern TOS platforms are evolving into full-featured supply chain solutions. He demonstrated how Solvo.TOS enables:

  • real-time visibility across all cargo types, including containers, breakbulk, Ro-Ro, Bulk, in all terminals types, from sea to rail, and bonded warehouse cargo too;
  • end-to-end integration with third-party systems like ERP, customs, port community services, and crane equipment;
  • yard optimization through dynamic stacking and automated task generation, increasing throughput while cutting costs;
  • real-time graphical yard layouts, allowing dispatchers to monitor and react instantly to on-ground operations;
  • labor and equipment productivity analytics, enabling terminals to reallocate resources efficiently;
  • and modular deployment with Solvo.SCE, which connects WMS, YMS, TOS, billing, OCR, and KPI layers into a unified automation ecosystem

He also showcased real-world impact: up to 30% gains in labor productivity, and 5–25% improvements in storage capacity by eliminating bottlenecks and applying pre-defined stacking strategies.

“Smarter terminals don’t necessarily need new land or cranes — they need better orchestration. And that’s what we provide.”
— Giovanni Migliaccio, Senior VP Sales & Marketing at Solvo Europe

Key take-aways

  • Digital twins & AI are moving from pilots to production in ASEAN terminals. Ports are prioritising fast-ROI software layers rather than hardware-heavy expansions.
  • End-to-end visibility—from gate to vessel—is a top KPI for regional operators. Solutions like Solvo.TOS that unify planning, execution and analytics resonate strongly.
  • Green logistics is now mainstream: decarbonisation panels were standing-room only.

Thank you!

We extend our sincere appreciation to PELINDO and Transport Events for flawless organisation and to every visitor who stopped by to share their challenges and ambitions. The conversations in Jakarta reaffirmed that collaboration and open platforms are the fastest route to smarter, greener and more resilient ports across Southeast Asia.

See you next year—and until then, stay connected!
