Universal Logistics Services (ULS) is a major container terminal in Uzbekistan — and one we’re proud to work with!
ULS implemented the Solvo.TOS terminal operating system to digitalize its operations in 2015. According to company representatives, the system has helped them successfully manage over twice the cargo volume compared to their pre-implementation period.
A long-standing strategic partner
Today, ULS is one of Solvo’s key clients and trusted partners in Central Asia. It’s also among the first to be offered the transition to Solvo.SCE, the company’s new unified platform that brings multiple logistics IT solutions into a single digital environment.
Terminal profile: capabilities and services
ULS operates a modern railway container terminal located in the freight yard of Chukursay Station. The facility is equipped to handle a wide range of operations:
- Processing containers, wagons, and oversized cargo
- Loading and unloading wheeled vehicles
- Full-cycle customs clearance and documentation
- Storage of tank, reefer, and general cargo
- Temporary open and closed warehousing
- Handling of long and oversized loads
With an area of 10.9 hectares and a cargo throughput of 120,000 TEU per year, ULS is designed for speed and flexibility. A key advantage is accelerated container trains operating on a regular schedule, enabling efficient cargo dispatch to destinations across Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The terminal is outfitted with 6 reach stackers, 6 forklifts, and a railway ramp, and supports both rail and truck operations. With growing cargo volumes and expanding services, ULS recognized the urgent need for a modern, integrated automation system.
Why Solvo.TOS?
After a thorough evaluation of TOS providers, ULS selected Solvo based on its extensive experience, strong track record, and comprehensive commercial proposal.
“Solvo’s deep expertise and detailed preliminary assessment gave us confidence that their solution was the right fit for our terminal,”
— Marat Umarov, General Director, ULS
The deployment of Solvo.TOS version 4.0 was swift — taking less than a month from installation to go-live.
Core features in use at ULS
The implemented Solvo.TOS system includes a rich set of features tailored to railway and intermodal operations:

What’s next: Solvo.SCE and beyond
To continue growing and optimizing operations, ULS plans to upgrade to Solvo.SCE — Solvo Supply Chain Execution. This next-generation platform offers:
- A modern service-oriented architecture
- Integration of multiple systems: Solvo.TOS, Solvo.WMS, Solvo.Billing, Solvo.KPI and more
- A unified digital environment for end-to-end logistics control
In addition, ULS will expand its use of Solvo.WMS across multiple sites and enhance customer interaction with the Solvo web portal.
Solvo.Billing for financial automation
The terminal is also using Solvo.Billing — an advanced module for automating commercial documentation and service tariffs. Fully integrated with both Solvo.TOS and the customer’s 1C ERP, the module uses modern protocols to synchronize financial and operational workflows.
As one of Solvo’s earliest adopters in the region, ULS continues to set the benchmark for terminal digitalization in Uzbekistan.
